Scuba diving, snorkeling and dive courses are provided by Subway Watersports a PADI Gold Palm Resort and National Geographic Award dive center and one of the leading dive operations on Roatan. They are located only 5 minutes by boat or car from Toucan Blue at the Turquoise Bay Resort. On request Subway picks guests up by boat at the dock in front of Toucan Blue.
Roatan is famous among scuba divers for its big variety of coral, which you can see from only a short boat ride away. Some of the best-known and most spectacular dive sites are just minutes away.
Subway's dive boats leave daily at 8:45 am, 11 am and 2 pm and once a week a night dive is offered. The diving is done mainly on the north shore of Roatan in the area between Sandy Bay and Punta Gorda. Only a few minutes away from the dive shop you’ll find some of Roatan’s best dive sites. Like the world famous Dolphin Den and the wreck of the Odyssey. Having the dive sites close by they come back to the dive shop for the surface intervals. When they go to some of the further dive sites they do a two tank dive in the morning and one tank in the afternoon. Each of the four dive boats takes no more than 6 to12 scuba divers to one dive site and all dives are guided by a PADI divemaster.
